Solar Watch Not Working on Arrival? Here’s How to Charge ItUpdated 4 hours ago
Our Solar watches never require a battery, drawing all of their power from ambient light. Using a semi-translucent dial, the Everyday Solar watches can receive enough charge for a full days power with just 2 minutes of direct sunlight. Fully charged, the watch has a power reserve that lasts 120 days without any light.
If your new Accurist Solar watch isn’t ticking when you receive it, don’t worry; this doesn’t mean it’s faulty. Solar watches sometimes arrive with a low power reserve, especially if they’ve been stored away from light for a period of time. This simply means it needs to recharge:
- Place your watch on a bright windowsill or in direct sunlight for at least 24 hours.
- After charging, check to see if the second hand begins moving again.
- If the watch remains still, contact our Customer Service team by clicking here for further support.
To keep your solar watch performing at its best:
- Avoid storing it in dark drawers or boxes for long periods.
- Give it regular exposure to natural or artificial light.
- If unused for an extended time, place it in sunlight for several hours before wearing it again.
